Description

Summary

Discovered in Nunavut, Canada, 1940, this rare breed has become a sought after rarity for their ability to adapt and be moulded by the breeding communities. Intelligent, strong, but highly flammable, they've made a statement on the world and the breed has since begun to spread from the shores of Nunavut and begun to cross the great seas. They're used as working dogs, show dogs and even fashion statements in foreign communities. They considered a Canadian treasure.

What do they look like?

Stocky, large with heavy fur, eye lids and whiskers; they're a slow moving power house of mass. Pure Cackling Hounds range anywhere between

Friendly: Not particularly, definitely not house pets. They would have been cut off from the rest of the world for most of their life durations. They're wild, and if they are taken as pets, are considered exotic.
From: Found in an underground cavern system in Yellowknife by a couple members of a small fishing village.

Fur: Very oily, makes it easier to swim. Though it's also very likely to catch fire. So much oil is built up on their fur, the fire generally doesn't get the chance to actually harm the hound. Fire colours range depending on the hound's skin type, which is decided by their lineage.

Their name as cackling hounds came from the popping noise the fire makes while burning the oil.

Paws: CCH's have five digits, all very flexible. This makes them unique from most dogs, in that they can physically grab objects. Back paws only have four digits.

Tail: Tail is naturally short, no docking needed.

I'll type more laterrr

I've been curious about this for awhile but can the hounds ignite the oil in their fur themselves or?
