Drawing Pulp

Anatomy

Pulp's basic design is based off of the anatomy of a Borzoi or the Russian Wolfhound. A simple search into Google and you'll see they are quite distinct in their lanky bodies.

Pulp's head however, is larger then a Borzoi's would naturally be, especially considering her head has no tissue.

Showing Emotion

Her skull is not a play ground for emotion as you would assume. With no muscles she can't make facial expressions like a normal dog would. However, when drawing Pulp any artist can take the liberty of changing her features slightly to protray the emotion needed.

For example, the bust shot just above Pulp's name makes her look quite smug, while the full body bellow it portrays her as happy. Generally I change the eye socket shape to better portray emotion.

Size Matters!

Keep in mind that Pulp is quite large. A lot of people seem to forget that, so I made sure to remind everyone this time!

Tusks

Pulp's tusks are attached to the upper part of her skull, and thus move with the top part of her head.
They curve down and then in wards.

Extras

Her tail never lowers.
She has full access to the movement of her ears, normal to any dog.

Acid

The acid she spits and drools is released from the black dots on the bottom part of her jaw, seen in the bottom left corner.

Pulp is a common Fez'neh. A mix between an Earth dog and an alien species of canid like proportions. Like all Fez'neh Pulp has the ability to shoot black acid from inside her hallow skull. It's very poisonous and seers through non organic as well as organics materials, like flesh. This is the reason why most common Fez'neh have no tissue a top their skulls. The inside of her skull is also lacking tissue, and is completely hallow, aside from her acid resistant tongue. Inside two blue orbs of light sit just upwards of her skull. They appear to be 'eyes' of sorts, yet are actually communication lights Pure Fez'neh use to translate emotions between themselves. That being said, Pulp is by all means blind.

She uses a sort of sonar to 'see' around her, much like a bat. Because of this she has excellent night vision as well as day vision. She cannot see painted on tattoos or markings.

Each Fez'neh has a 'gift' of sorts. An ability believed to be given to them from the Fez'neh Ancients (as per Fez'neh lore). Pulp's gift is called 'Ultimate Charisma'. This gives her the ability to talk to anyone and anything as well as influence other's in a basic way. She cannot force other's to do anything against their will, however, she can influence their choices and ideas very heavily in her benefit.
As for the 'talking', Fez'neh are a canid like species, and most of them can only talk between each other using dog like signals and speech through the sub conscious.
Pulp however, can actually talk to other species in their heads as well as hear their thoughts. (As long as their heads are open to her. Forcing her way in causes extreme trauma and may leave the receiver with permanent damage).

Pulp is generally a playful character. She takes most nothing seriously and refuses to do work if playing is an option. However beneath the playful demeanour it can be noted that she is also very wise. Fez'neh are subconsciously connected to their dead ancestors. This can appear to them as a sort of bipolar issue, as they often hear voices in their heads. But they often have a lot of good advice to tap into.

Few Fez'neh, reach states of high emotion, such as rage or sadness, or even passion. These are all earth emotions, and only impure lines of Fez'neh bred with common earth dogs get these emotions. This causes them to loose their connection to their ancestors temporarily as well as loose their communication lights. Their acid is produced at a rapid rate then and the extra energy pumped through them to create the acid throws them into a fit. Pulp is one of these Fez'neh.

Large in size, and a deadly force to be reckoned with Pulp has killed many of those near to her, and some even dear.

Over all, Pulp is a valuable ally to those who are wary and cautious of her alien like nature and abilities.
